Jim joined HLT in September 2016 after 11 years of executive experience in the Canadian gaming industry.
Prior to joining HLT, Jim was the Vice-President, Business Development at Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, Canada’s largest publicly traded casino, horse racing and hospitality operator. Before Great Canadian Gaming, Jim worked in senior business development and professional services roles in the Canadian banking software industry.
Jim has developed a successful track record in both the acquisition of new businesses as well as the expansion of existing businesses. Jim brings in-depth experience in detailed financial analysis and the negotiation of a wide array of complex contractual agreements including gaming operating/service agreements, real estate acquisitions and leases, corporate partnerships and other major capital initiatives. Jim has also led multi-disciplined teams in developing diverse and comprehensive responses to formal government procurement processes for new gaming development opportunities in both Canada and the U.S. Jim is also a former member of the British Columbia’s Horse Racing Industry Management Committee.
Based in Vancouver, B.C., when not working with clients, Jim can be found enjoying the lifestyle of Canada’s beautiful west coast with friends and family.
